Hi All,

We have an autodiscovery task scheduled every night to detect unmanaged hosts. After host deletion the discovering data still there and the record appears as unmanaged although the host is not longer repond ping.

There is any way to autodelete old unmanaged discovered hosts that are not longer respond ping?

There is an enhancement in the roadmap that will clear these out after import into NIOS from NetMRI and then NetMRI doesn't discover anymore.  Are you using NetMRI for the discovery?  If not, we could look at modifying the enhancement to handle other discovery means.  Outside of that, we have had customers write scripts that run periodically to clear these out.

Dave

That would be awesome to get that in.  We have a lot of legacy stuff now that is no longer being used but still marked as such.

Hi Dave,

Could you share an example of script used to purge these data?

Thanks,

I don't have one handy but I've referred a customer who's done some scripting in this area to this thread to weigh in.
