IP Reservation vs Host Record

Does a  host record also double as an IP reservation? For example, if I've got a range of .10 to .200, but I create a host record at .25 for a device that is statically configured, will it be excluded from the DHCP pool for future lease attempts? I always thought it will, but I can't seem to find the answer in writing on the web or the admin guide.

A Host object could just be a "DNS Host" (with no DHCP configuration) pointing the same IP address. That would not have an effect on the DHCP Range.

However, if you add a Host and tick the DHCP checkbox and provide like 00:00:00:00:00:00 as MAC address, it will be similar/same to the Reservation Object.
