REST call to clear unmanaged data from an IP object?

I'm hoping there is an easy rest call that can be made to perform the same function as the 'clear' button that is available in the IPAM view. I've seen a python example, but was wondering if it can be done via a rest call?

You can clear all data from an IP address using the DELETE method on the ipv4address object.

below is an example.

The first step would be to get the reference URL using the GET method.

curl -k -u admin:infoblox -H "Content-Type: application/json" -X GET -d '{ "ip_address": "" }'

Now use the DELETE method to clear data from the address.

curl -k -u admin:infoblox -H "Content-Type: application/json" -X DELETE

This is similar to using the reclaim button in the GUI.

Sorry for replying on an old topic, but it seems that from version 8.4.8 when you delete a host object or A record while the ip address is still active, IPAM then marks it as unmanaged.

But when you use the reclaim button instead it won't mark the address as unmanaged.

Now we have clustomers (developers) complaining that when they use an WAPI call to remove an object and create a new object on that address, they get an error that it is already in use.

And this is since we upgraded from Nios version 8.2.4 to 8.4.8

Now I was wondering is there a WAPI call to reclaim the object instead of deleting it ? Hoping this might solve the issues for the developers.
