Hi Shaukat,

DNS FW license is needed for both Local and Feed RPZs. If you don't have the DNS FW license, then RPZ will not function at all.

If you don't want the Active Trust feed, then you don't have to get the DNS FW Subscription license, however, you still need to have the DNS FW license for the RPZ to work.

Hope this clarifies the questions.

Regards,

Hi,

Thanksfoyour response.

RPZ license is permanent on the Grid, how ever if you purchase DNS FW license this means that support will entertain you.If you don't have DNS FW license still you can use the Local RPZ and other downloded feed  without TAC support of Infoblox.

Also if you dont have active license of feeds and it is expired recntly still you can use these feeds that is already downloded but it will not be updated .Intresting thing is this that if your Active trust feeds is expired still you can see on grid that it is updated recently but on the backend it is not updated.

Is ther any way how can we check on the Grid when actually it is last updated?

Regards

Your understanding is correct regarding the RPZ license. If you don't have any Feed subscription license, then Support will not entertain you for any issues regarding the feeds.

The "Last Updated" column under Response Policy Zones tab is the only option to see when the feed was last updated. If you think that the data is incorrect, I would suggest you open a support ticket for troubleshooting further.
