hi,

I am using the following version:

Infoblox > show version
Version : 7.3.10-345050

I have configured LAN2 on GUI and added it to the grid member. Now I am trying to enable DHCP on LAN2 however it fails. An the error message reads as follows:

"2017-01-12 02:41:49 PST","daemon","ERROR","dhcpd[1990]","to which interface eth3 is attached. **"
"2017-01-12 02:41:49 PST","daemon","ERROR","dhcpd[1990]","in your dhcpd.conf file for the network segment"
"2017-01-12 02:41:49 PST","daemon","ERROR","dhcpd[1990]","you want, please write a subnet declaration"
"2017-01-12 02:41:49 PST","daemon","ERROR","dhcpd[1990]","** Ignoring requests on eth3. If this is not what"
"2017-01-12 02:41:49 PST","daemon","ERROR","dhcpd[1990]","No subnet declaration for eth3 (no IPv4 addresses)."

My dhcp.conf file looks as follows:

ddns-update-style interim;
log-facility daemon;
# fingerprinting enabled;
local-address 50.16.0.1;
server-identifier 50.16.0.1;

}
}

subnet 50.16.0.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 {

}

#End of dhcpd.conf file

There is no place in which i can find my LAN2 interface status on the GUI or via CLI. On the CLI, when I type "show interface all", I do not see LAN2.

Nor do I see any routes in the LAN2 routing table.

From LAN2:
IPv4 route table:

IPv6 route table:

I see the LAN2 network configured though.

Current LAN2 Network Settings:
LAN2 Port enabled: true
NIC failover for LAN1 and LAN2 enabled: false
LAN2 IPv4 Address: 50.16.0.1
LAN2 Netmask: 255.255.255.0
LAN2 Gateway: 50.16.0.254

What am I missing?

It's not entirely clear here if this was done already or not, but verify that DHCP is enabled on LAN2 by editing the DHCP properties for the server in question and enable the check box for LAN2 under the DHCP Interfaces section on the General tab. If that is set and you are still seeing this error, please open a case with Infoblox Support and provide them with a Support Bundle from the server in question (along with one from your Grid Master if different) so that they can help troubleshoot this further.
