Hi,
In my humble opinion, you should first investigate why this happens. Obviously there are too many recursive queries that take a long time to respond/timeout, so why is this? Just incrementing the outstanding recursive query limit is a "postponement of execution". Sooner or later you run into the same problem again.
My experience is that using MS clients have to many (misconfigured) search domains which result in the Infoblox trying to resolve them externally or there is malware in your network trying to resolve bogus domains.

Before identifying a solution for this behavior, you must first understand the cause. In simplest terms, this behavior happens because there is a limit on how many recursive clients the server will handle at any given moment and there are two basic solutions to handle this:
- Reduce the number of concurrent recursive clients.
- Increase the number of concurrent recursive clients that are allowed.
Without understanding the underlying cause for why you are seeing this limit being exceeded or where things stand now, it is difficult to provide the steps necessary to resolve this, something which may even require multiple changes to address. If there was a temporary issue with resolution due to an Internet outage, it may be that all you need to do is wait. If the underlying cause has already been fixed, then NIOS will process all of the queries that have queued up and once done, this warning should cease.
If you do continue to see warnings and want help with troubleshooting this further, you will want to open a case with Infoblox Support.
Regards,
Tony
