Hi All,

We are deploying a GRID over two Virtual Appliances TE-v1415 version 8.3 over RHEV KVM with three interfaces each device (LAN1, LAN2, MGT)

After creating the GRID and deploying the GRID we tried to enable the LAN2 Port Redundancy via web interface.

After enable the check and accept the "typical warining" the system reboot but never joined to the grid again.

We connected to it via KVM Console and the following error is reported:

Capture2.PNG

Does anyone know what its happening? KVM config issue...(Strange)... feature is not supported by 8.3 version, bug?

We can enable the MGT port without issues.

Thanx

The image is not vissible, can you write down the error?

With this type of deployment, four network interfaces would be required. The reason for why you are seeing the "Fatal error during Infoblox startup" error is that a required (virtual) hardware component is missing.

NIOS uses the NIC's in the following order:

— Network Adapter 1: MGMT
— Network Adapter 2: LAN1
— Network Adapter 3: HA
— Network Adapter 4: LAN2

This worked until you enabled LAN2 because NIOS is able to start with just two interfaces. To resolve this, make sure attach four NIC's to your Infoblox virtual appliances. If you have not yet deleted the failing VM's, you can add on the missing NIC and they should start up properly after a reboot.

Regards,

Tony
