I created a new Device Group called Bracknell-Switches, using the Group Membership criteria "$sysLocation like /Bracknell/ and $Type = "Switch"
I ensured that the snmp-server location on ONE of the switches contained the name "Bracknell"
On NetMRI I generated the Device Groups and saw that the test switch was succesfully added to that group.
I then configured similar snmp-server location (Bracknell ....) on the remaining switches.
When I generated the device groups again, I received the error:
*** Invalid buffer ID ***
Does anyone have any idea how I can resolve this?
Thanks in advance,

I would recommend opening a case with support.
Also upgrade to 6.6.1 if possible

Thank you, my current version is the one it was shipped with, which is: 220.127.116.11
I see that the latest version contaiing some other bug fixes is version 6.6.2 - What is the upgrade path (and where can I find the paths?) from 18.104.22.168 to say, version 6.6.2 please?
I cann't see a fix for the Device Grouping problem listed in the release notes but I think it is prudent for me to upgrade anyway.

Further to my previous message, I have checked the release Notes and as fas as I can determine, the path is as follows:
The upgrade path from version 22.214.171.124 to version 6.6.2 is:
126.96.36.199 > 6.3.1 > 6.4.0 > 6.4.1 > 6.5.4* > 6.6.0 > 6.6.2
* This single part of upgrade can take 8 hours, according to the Release Note.
Is this correct?
