I have a hosts MAC address and am trying to find the host's IP address.  I navigated to network insight -> inventory and searched on the MAC address but only got the switch IP address and the port the host is connected to.

How do I find the host's IP address?

I've done this using SPM (Switch Port Manager), in the End Hosts section.

I have an end device's MAC and IP address. I want to get the switchport info.

The discovery settings for the end device's range is set to Exclude from Management. Documentation says : "Setting ranges for Exclude from Management is useful for devices you may not want to manage, but want to know about for inventory purposes."

I go to Network Insight->Inventory->Devices->Connected End Hosts and there is no information for any hosts in that subnet.

I expect that there should be. Any ideas why not?

Thank you,

Brian

Update:

Searching by IP, I found the information that I am looking for in Network Insight-->Inventory-->Devices-->All Devices. Then I click for the Device Viewer-->Device/Network Insight-->Device History.

Searching by the MAC, I find nothing.
