Hi,

Im trying to figure out how to make a policy to check my interface configuration.
Lets say i have this config in a Cisco switch.

interface GigabitEthernet0/1
 descriptiion * jada jada *
 switchport mode access
 spannin-tree guard root

interface GigabitEthernet0/2
 description * jada jada *
 switchport mode access

interface GigabitEthernet0/3
 description * jada jada *
 switchport mode access

 spannin-tree guard root

Interface GigabitEthernet0/4
 description *jada uplink*
 switchport mode trunk

Anyone know how I should make a script to find out that the configuration on Gi0/1 and Gi0/3 is correct, Gi0/2 is incorrect and G0/4 is a trunk port.
Is there a better documentation about the policy engine,I think the admin guide is kind of thin on this problem.
Or am I reading in the wrong place?

Regards Mikael

The CPD editor can handle use cases like this. See the section "Using the CPD Editor" in the documentation.

NetMRI 6.9 has a new policy rule XML element called ConfigBlockCheck that is more flexible than CPD - you may want to check that out too.
