NetMRI 7.0.1 upgrade deletes existing external authentication servers

NetMRI 7.0 expands its external authentication support, and adds external authorization.  The related configuration settings in the UI were redesigned to support this.  Unfortunately, the upgrade did not preserve our existing TACACS servers, leaving Local authentication and authorization as the only method.  This prevented all users except Admin from authenticating until we could identify the cause and re-enter the TACACS details.

I don't know if the same happens to existing AD and RADIUS methods because we don't use those.  But others using external servers will want to check theirs immediately after upgrading.

 

It does remove RADIUS config.

It does remove RADIUS config.  We opened a case with support for the issue.
