You will want to create a Rule for each you would like to check > Assign it to a Policy > Then Deploy the policy.

Dear Sif,

My current requirement is only pull the information which does not have the maching basline as per our cofiguration.

like :--

ntp server 10.0.0.1

syslog 10.0.0.2

If above mentioned config does not mach in the device then pull the devices information(lift of device where this infiormation missing).

Yes, after achieve this we need to opush the configuration also. Please share the script if u can. I am also looking for the meaning of each line of script so that tomorrow i will be able to modify and make it new mysefl.

You can use the Config Search feature where if does not match "ntp server 10.0.0.1"

That will give you all the results that does not contain ntp server 10.0.0.1, also I should recommend that you

Best way to do it is Create a Rule and a script, then you create a Trigger Job, so when you have a new device on the network NetMRI will automatically fix the issue.

Script-Filter:

    $vendor eq “Cisco” and $sysdescr like /IOS/

######################

Action:

Add SYSLOG to Routers and Switches

Action-Commands:

    config t

    ntp server 10.0.0.1

    end

    wr mem

It's not script knowledge you are looking for, it's building rules.

You build Rules/Policies and deploy the Policy base on the Device group.

I would strongly suggest you attend one of our free NetMRI Over Webex, you can contact your Account Team that can provide you with that as well.

Also look in the Admin Guide in NetMRI for Rules

It's under Config MGMT > Policy Design Center > Rule

I've attached an example of a rule that can help you.  You can import it into NetMRI(name of the rule Sif_CC_Logging")  You have to rename it from .txt to .xml

Also I would suggest purchase PS time from Infoblox, they cover the entire product as well as CCS Scripts and Rules.
