Simple scp copy stops no matter what script timeout value is used

Hi... thanks in advance if anybody knows the deal.

My script is simple. My scp copy starts and runs for 4 min without a timeout value. With any timeout value the copy lasts for roughly 9 min. The job ends with *** Job Failed [1] *** in all cases.

# BEGIN-SCRIPT-BLOCK # ##----------------------------------------------------------------------

## The Script-Filter is used to indicate that the entire script ## should only be executed for Cisco IOS devices. ##----------------------------------------------------------------------

# Script-Filter: # $Vendor eq "Cisco" and $Model like /1921/

# Script-Timeout: 3000

##----------------------------------------------------------------------

It appears there's a problem with the script negotiating the timout value. I see this below. Without any timeout value, I do not see the below error.

SERVER general/cli-error Device [3941479] is bussy https://netmri/api/2.6/cli_connections/close.json at /mnt/host/lib/NetMRI_Easy.pm line 427 END failed--call queue aborted at - line 39. *** ERROR: Error 'SERVER general/cli-error Device command timeout or connection lost. https://netmri/api/2.6/cli_connections/send_command.json at /mnt/host/lib/NetMRI_Easy.pm line 508

I believe there are separate script and command timeouts. For very long-running commands, you’ll need to use this API call instead:

https://netmri/api/3/cli_connections/docs#send_async_command

It allows you to specify the command timeout. There is then a separate ”get_async_command_status” command you can use to monitor the progress.

Use Action-Timeout instead of Script Smiley Wink
