We would like an ability to integrate with Okta for admin authentication.

Is there a plan to support SAML 2.0 or SAML 1.1 authentication protocols?

I also would like to know this. SAML support for the admin console would be very helpful for our institution.

This is shameful, if you search for SAML 2.0 this is the only hit in the community.

No one from Infoblox responded? RFE cant be looked up to see what ever happen.

Here is the response I just recieve via chat, they contacted a senior engineer for this statement qoute "There may be a way to integrate via API (which he would have to look further into). +SAML 2.0 is a roadmap item for Infoblox"

On Okta's site I can clearly see only SWA integration with Infoblox Support Center, Pass and Community. So NIOS doesnt support SAML...

Hello Maxe,

I apologize, but your intension is not clear from your statement. What are you trying to understand here ? A Feature Enhancement Request(RFE) is an internal task within Infoblox. This is the reason why its progress is not publicly available for customers. Your Infoblox Account Representative is the best person to keep you posted regarding its progress & can also act as an interface with Infoblox product management team. Now as you have the feature request ID from community it make your job a lot more easier.

Per the current status of this RFE, its been planned for NIOS 8.4.0(Tentative). Let me know if there are any additional questions

Best regards,

Mohammed Alman.

This boils down to the product roadmap, which Infoblox is not really good at.

Keeping customers in the dark does not help with the product adoption either.

I've added the FRE# so other customers could ask to be added.

I just posted a walk through of a SAML/Okta configuration in the Tech Video section, and finish it with a successful SSO login.  Check it out!
