MAC filtering for DHCP

I'm wondering how many are using MAC based filtering for DHCP at scale?  Currently I have a few small subnets doing this.  Not a lot of clients, and not much change, so easy to manage.

I just got a request to do this for all our client networks.  So that works out to be about about 1500 devices in about 100 subnets.  Has anyone else tried this?  Is it manageable? Are you still doing it?

I did figure I would use one to three defined lists instead of one for each subnet.

Any thoughts.

Dont think you want to do mac filtering on a 1500 host basis. Hosts getting replaced and moved without notifying the dns/ipam guys.

Seen it happen so much here
