Could anybody tell me how the one-lease-per-client function determines if a DHCP request is issued by the same client? Is it based on MAC address, hostname or UID?
Is the UID unique per client or does it depend on the network interface (e.g. LAN or WLAN NIC)?
What is the behaviour if the client uses WLAN and LAN interface at the same time for requesting an lease?
Thanks in advance

By default (per the RFC), addresses are issued back on the unique combined setting of client ID (UID) and MAC address. Since multiple interfaces would have different MAC addresses, they would be viewed as different clients from a DHCP perspective. There is some support for reserving an address based on UID but I have not tested that when both WLAN and LAN interfaces are active so I'm not sure what would happen.
