How can you deal with a split brain High Availability DDI grid member?

Hi;

 

If you have a situation where you have a high available grid DDI member and let's say all network comms was cut between the active and passive node, then you have a split brain situation in which both become active. How can this situation be remedied.

Hi,

 

If HA pair enter the dual-active state (this is condition occurs when both appliance assume an active role and send VRRP advertisement, possibly because of network issue, then the appliance with the numerically highr VRRP priority becomes the active node. The priority is based on system status and events.

 

if both nodes have the same priority, then the appliance whose HA port has a numerically higher IP address becomes the active node
