What kind of user permission is needed to connect to infoblox connector or WAPI?

Hi,

I want to connect to infoblox using either infoblox python client(infoblox_client) or WAPI.

I have read permission in our infoblox instance with which I can login to webgui.

But when I wanted to use the same account to call API or through python library (infoblox_client) it throws 401 error.

Can you please advise whether I need to elevate my privilege or any other issue?

Thanks,

Bikram Biswas

You will need to ensure the admin group you are assigned to is allowed API access. This setting is configured on the Roles tab of the Admin Group Editor. As shown in screenshot below, the checkbox for API must be selected. Depending on the API call you are attempting to make, you may need additional object or global permissions as well.
