Disable caching only for forwarders

Hi,

My search skills have failed me so far.

Can I disable DNS caching for forwarders and not for internal DNS records? The forwarders we are using are connected to SIEM/SOC so if Infoblox caches DNS records the statistics and incidents wont be correct as they will be answered from cache.

Yes it will be bit slower but, we will check if thats acceptable.

Thanks, best regards.

Hii,

I have suggestion: Yes, you can typically disable DNS caching for forwarders while keeping caching enabled for internal DNS records in Infoblox. By adjusting the cache settings, you can control caching behavior separately for these two scenarios. Disabling caching for forwarders ensures that DNS queries forwarded to SIEM/SOC will be answered in real-time, providing accurate statistics and incident tracking.

I hope this may help you.
