How to schedule tasks?

Hi all, 
I am a beginner and I would not know if there is an API that allows you to schedule tasks?

I looked in the documentation but I have not found what I wanted

I specify that I want an action like cron on Unix for example, to execute a task all day at some time (11:00 pm)
