DNS Record Validation

Is there any logic within the IPAM DNS infrastructure to validate a DNS record has a name associated with an IP address? We currently use the import feature and manually configure DNS records in IPAM. I want to eliminate human error and ensure every record has a name configured. Also, we are just getting started with the API and are in the learning stages so we have not begun using any custom scripts. Any ideas or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
