Integration with Morpheus Data – IPAM & DNS Entries Work but No DHCP IP Assigned
Hi Infoblox Community,
I'm currently integrating Infoblox with Morpheus Data for automated VM provisioning. The integration partially works — when a VM is created via Morpheus:
- IPAM and DNS entries are successfully created in Infoblox
- However, DHCP does not assign an IP address to the VM from the Infoblox-managed range
My question is:
Does Infoblox support DHCP IP assignment in this kind of automation workflow with Morpheus Data?
If so, are there any specific configuration steps or API prerequisites needed to enable DHCP assignment during VM creation?
Any guidance or documentation references would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Is Morpheus the HPE stuff? A hypervisor? Not all hypervisors are supported depending on their RFC compliance… and many hybrid cloud environments don't allow DHCP in their VMs. Typically, even for VMWare VRA and VRO there is a dedicated IPAM plugin that is built for this purpose. You can raise an IFR with your account team to get it supported / planned, but if you don't have access to the Morpheus SDK it will prove challenging to get this working if I had to guess.
