Tips & Tricks: Getting the most out of the Community Part 5 - "Green is Good"
When I hear the phrase "green is good," I automatically think of Gordon Gekko's quote from the movie Wallstreet, "Greed is Good." Although I'm not referring to cold hard cash, I am referring to something just as valuable on a commuity site. It's literally the gold standard for a technical community.
What is it, you ask? It represents a "solved" forum thread.
The Infoblox Experts Community sees upwards of 2000 search queries a month. Our hope is to provide relevant information and solutions to your questions. As the author of a post, you have the ability to mark another users comment as the "solution." Simply click the "Accept as Solution"
Clicking the "Accept as Solution" not only alerts the user their comment was the solution, but it is highlighted for others who may have the same question on the community days, months or years later. So if you are participating on a thread and see a comment that appears to be the solution, send us a private message and we'll take a look. If you're the author of the thread, please take that added step to mark the solution.
It may not be Gordon Gekko's mentality, but on your community, "green" is worth every penny.
