Avoiding VDI Voodoo

Many organizations are deploying a virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) to reduce costs and keep consistent images. Virtualization administrators chartered with rolling out VDI face a raft of new network abbreviations that may seem like incantations. But VDI needn’t be scary.

 

Abbreviations such as DNS, DHCP, IPAM and API may be off-putting or something application and desktop experts aren’t used to dealing with, but they’re critical to ensuring successful virtualization deployments.
