Hello Nikhil,

Both can work with LAN1 interface. But in case if you are plannng to use our software ADP functionality, it would be recommended to keep your grid communications over MGMT.

Hi Alman,

My plan is for a hardware box, so I hope only the LAN1 interface is sufficient

Hello Nikhil,

Yes, you're right. If you do not want to configure MGMT as of now, you may use just the LAN1. Its not a "must" anyways.

To add to this- the MGMT interface is not enabled by default. While it can be used to provide services and supports multiple use cases, the primary use case is to provide out-of-band access to the appliance and separate out admin access from regular access. This is an optional configuration and provides you with flexibility with your deployment but using the LAN1 interface by itself is perfectly fine as well.
