Has anybody gotten a KVM VM of Infoblox working on Nutanix using AHV hypervisor ?  (It's KVM-based)

Working or not, this is currently not a supported configuration so you would not be able to file any support tickets should something go wrong.

Please work with your account team to join RFE-7970 which is for vNIOS support on the Nutanix AHV platform.

Upload kvm image to nutanix image server. (Qcow file)
Create a new vm in prism
Be sure to add 4 nics to the vm you’re creating, clone from image service the qcow image you uploaded.
When vm is created logon to cvm in cluster with ssh

From a nutanix cvm
acli vm.update <VM_name> disable_branding=true
acli vm.update <VM_name> extra_flags=enable_hyperv_clock=0
acli vm.serial_port_create <VM_name> index=0 type=kNull

Your IB vm should now prompt you for IP addr for mgmt.

And yes, please join rfe-7970 to help get this officially supported. Good luck!

Infoblox DDI is now certified Nutanix AHV Ready.  Please reach out to Nutanix if you're experiencing issues getting the appliance running on AHV.

Is there any confirmation on this from Infoblox? I was just told that RFE-7970 has not been scheduled for 8.5.
