Hello,
I am trying to add Active Directory authentication/Authorization to one of my networks, and I am getting an authentication failed: 8 message. I was able to get it to work on another network, and reapplied the same steps, however, it is not working on one of the networks. Am I missing a step or is there something that is not covered in the help file that needs to be done outside of NETMRI? All help/advice is appreciated.
Thank you,
Jerry

I may be off the mark, but have you validated that the user you are testing AD auth logins with exists in NetMRI? It sounds counter-intuitive, but you still need a username specified in NetMRI that matches the username in AD.

In NetMRI 7.0 that is no longer true. You can now map AD groups to roles/device group combinations, do manually adding users is not needed.
I suggest creating a support case.

Hello,
I did create one locally to see if that was the case, however, it still was unable to work. I even created a service account to test with and it still did not work. I will open a case.
Thank you,
Jerry
