Dear Valued Infoblox Customer,

This is a friendly reminder that on October 31st 2023, NIOS 8.5 and all its derivative maintenance releases will reach their End-of-Life (EoL) and End-of Support (EoS) milestone. As per our published End-of-Life Guidelines and policies, Infoblox will no longer provide updates, upgrades, code fixes or patches for the EoL release or its derivative maintenance releases which include 8.5, 8.5.1, 8.5.2, 8.5.3, 8.5.4, and 8.5.5. Technical support and maintenance will also discontinue.

Infoblox launched NIOS 8.5.x in February 2020, providing customers with over three-and-a-half years of core network and value-added services and support.

As a reminder, NIOS releases prior to 8.5 are already past their EoL dates.

To uphold the standard of service and security that you've come to expect, Infoblox highly recommends customers move to the upcoming fully supported releases, 8.6.3 or 9.0.1 of NIOS. It would not be advisable to invest in new deployments of NIOS 8.5 or earlier which are now end-of-life.

In addition to uninterrupted support, NIOS 8.6.3 or higher releases help you expand workplace modernization through hybrid, multi-cloud integrations and automation. They also improve network visibility, user experience and control through stronger DDI, Value-Added Services and extended DDI Plug-Ins for greater agility and faster time to value. See the NIOS landing page for the latest information.

Here are the recommended upgrade path guidelines for NIOS.

Further details of this software end-of -life milestones are published on our support portal’s End-of-Life Announcements.

If you require planning or upgrade assistance, we recommend contacting your preferred Infoblox Partner or your Infoblox Account Team for further services options.

Should you have any further questions or concerns, please contact your sales representative.

Thank you!
