We have several Microsoft DHCP servers and are now trying to transition from them to Infoblox.

Currently today we have Infoblox running on 9.0.5-52728-5501324ffb0c

We have setup 'IPv4 DHCP failover assocation' on 2 IB-V825 appliances

Currently we have 2 DHCP servers in 'READ-ONLY' mode and tons of records within the Grid.

I didn't setup this environment but getting lost on how to effectively take some Microsoft DHCP scopes and move them into Infoblox please.

1. current records I cannot change from Microsoft failover assocation to IPv4 DHCP failover assocation' on 2 IB-V825 appliances. Then would change IP helper to point to that

2. I understand there is a way to obtain the CSV to use from Infoblox to gather DHCP scope information from Microsoft DHCP scopes and then import them into Infoblox (IPv4 Fixed Address/Reservation - NIOS CSV Import Reference - Infoblox Documentation Portal). Just don't know how to do this.

Anything else that I'm missing in regards to Moving Microsoft DHCP scopes to Infoblox would be very beneficial please.

Hello,

Microsoft DHCP to Infoblox can definitely feel overwhelming at first, but it sounds like you’re already on the right track! The CSV import process is key, and while it takes some time to get used to, it’s super effective once you figure out the format. For exporting from Microsoft DHCP, PowerShell can be your best friend. You can use commands like Export-DhcpServer to grab your current scope data, then tweak it to fit Infoblox's CSV format. I’d recommend double-checking the NIOS CSV import guide to make sure all the fields align properly—especially for reservations and fixed addresses. As for the failover setup, switching IP Helpers at the right time is crucial, as you mentioned. Maybe set up a small test scope in Infoblox Ir al Sitio Oficial first to make sure everything works smoothly before doing the full migration.
