Do we need an RPZ license on a Lead secondary that will not be doing DNS FW inspection?

Hi;

Let's say that I am using the lead secondary to fetch RPZ zone data from Bloxone primary server for RPZ feed. Do I need to have an RPZ license on this lead secondary member even if it is only there to distribute zone data to "non lead secondaries", that are closer to the client.

The non-lead secondaries will do the DNS FW inspection and I have no intention of having the lead secondary for the RPZ do any inspection.

Kindly

Wasfi

The lead secondary box will need the RPZ license. Without the RPZ licence, the box cannot transfer the RPZ from the cloud.

Which version of B1TD do you have? Some come with Grid wide RPZ license.

Also, X6 models come with RPZ as standard.
