Hi everyone,
I’m currently evaluating hardware options for a large-scale Infoblox Grid deployment and am considering intel core i7 processors. Specifically, I’m curious about the role of Hyper-Threading technology in this context.
For those with experience in high-performance Infoblox environments, I’d like to know:
Is Hyper-Threading on Intel Core i7 processors a significant factor in optimizing performance for large-scale Infoblox Grid deployments?
How does Hyper-Threading impact the efficiency and responsiveness of Infoblox Grid operations?
Are there specific Intel Core i7 models with Hyper-Threading that are recommended for handling extensive DNS, DHCP, and IPAM tasks?
What performance gains have you observed with Hyper-Threading in real-world Infoblox scenarios compared to non-Hyper-Threaded processors?
Any insights or recommendations based on your experience would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

Infoblox appliances currently run on their own hardware, provided by infoblox, or as a VM, managed by different hypervisors.
There are no requirments or recomendations beyond basic compatibility to run in a hypervisor.
