DDNS not working from Azure VNET to On-Prem Infoblox

VMs using VNET DHCP service in Azure and do not register Dynamic DNS records to the authoritative DNS zone(example.local) in on-prem Infoblox. The subnet has been allowed in the ACL and the firewall rules are in place. The VMs are using some MS DNS servers for DNS resolution on which a conditional forwarder is configured to point to example.local authoritative name servers. Could someone recommend on how to get this to work?
