I need to understand if it is possible to have the DNS service on LAN1 and the DHCP service on LAN2, then on completely separate networks. Thank you.

Hello,

You can have both DHCP and DNS on LAN1, LAN2, VIP.
For DHCP you can selectively turn-off the service on LAN1 and have it run only on LAN2 - if required.
