Question on a Zone that is forwarded to a DNS server which delegates to another DNS server

There is a Company A with domain adomain.com. On their DNS they created a forward zone for my.bdomain.com. A server in Company A is trying to reach tar.my.bdomain.com and it sees a CNAME with tar.gtm.my.bdomain.com but not the A record. On my.bdomain.com , gtm.my.bdomain.com is a delegated zone. Why would company A only see a CNAMe but not A record? What is the expected result
