Hi Guys
Few weeks ago, we did an upgrade of our grid from 8.1.x to 8.4.5.
Now, we have the following message in the Grid Manager => Members tab:
Running, non-recommended platform type
In the upgrade tab, we see the following warning:
It is not recommended to upgrade a grid which has 810/820 doing a GM or a GMC role. Performance impacts can be expected if you proceed with this upgrade.
Our appliances:
IB-820 => GM, GMC
IB-VM-810 => Members
We could not find a hint in the release notes or upgrade guide which says, that IB-820s are not recommended for GM/GMC role. If so, please show me where 
Looking forward to the upcoming lifecycle, we plan to replace the IB-820s with IB-V825s. Can someone tell us, if this will work when using the IB-V825s as GM and GMC?

I believe what you are looking for is indeed mentioned in the Infoblox NIOS 8.4.5 Release Notes as well under the "Supported Platforms" section. Please find the snippet below -
With that being said, IB-825, on the other hand, can be used as Grid Master / Grid Master Candidate for smaller environments. However, it would be best for you to discuss with your Infoblox Accounts Team and they would be able to suggest what would be ideal for your environment.
