DHCP and Network Discovery

Is it best practice to perform network discovery in DHCP ranges? Is there any reason not to?

You can use the discovery tool to detect active IP addresses in a network.

Network discovery is used by Network Insight / NetMRI.

There is no harm is performing this. You would be doing it purely for your own management of the network/DHCP ranges.
