Allow updates in the zone properties, is this only for DDNS updates?

Hi;
Is the allow updates ACE/ACL setting in the Zone properties for DDNS updates from a non grid DHCP member only or that also include notify DNS messages too if the Primary for the zone is external to the Grid.

It's for non-grid devices such as external DHCP servers or systems like Windows Domain Controllers.
For grid members, Infoblox automatically adds the correct members to the ACL so you don't need to worry about it.

Are the domain controller updates the same updates as those under the "Active Directory" tab in the authoratative zone properties.
