Hi,
I'm preparing a network discovery implementation. I get that snmp is needed to access the seed router. but after that is the discovery process going to inquire "the next hops" by snmp also and thus build a kind of network map? Or do I need to add any know router myself?
Thanks in advance
Marco

Hey Marco,
It is indeed a delayed reply. But, hope this helps.
You must provide SNMP credentials to NIOS to allow it to pull the key routing and connectivity information, including the IPv6 routing table and the local Neighbor Discovery Cache, from the device.
Hope this answers your question.
