IPv6 "Reservation"

Is there a recommended way to make an IPv6 "reservation". I gather, that for IPv4, a reservation is essentially a fixed address with the MAC address set to '00:00:00:00:00:00'. There is no reservation option for IPv6. Is there a similarly generic DUID that can be used to lock an IPv6 address using a fixed address object?
