Replicated DNS records to Stage Environment AD DNS

Hello,

We currently have the Infoblox DNS for our Active Directory Domain services. We would like to clone one of the DCs to an isolated DEV environment to test some core application upgrades. Is there any way to export the AD DNS records from Infoblox, srv and etc, and import them into the STAGE DC clone?

Have you tried to do transfer zone from Infoblox to the Stage DC? Because it will be a optionn to share the record between NS.

Actually, no. I am just thinking the process through and trying to make a plan. 

Does a transfer keep the PROD environment intact?

Hi,

Transferzone is a mechanism to share the record between master NS and the slave so the data will be intact. But you are not going to be able to manage the record at the slave ns.
