Upgrade path from NIOS 8.4.7 to 9.0.4

I inherited a 4 node grid on IB-1415 devices that is running NIOS 8.4.7. Can I directly upgrade to 9.0.4 or do I need to go through intermediate steps first.

In reviewing the release notes on page three it states that you are able to upgrade from 8.4.8 and earlier 8.4.x releases, BUT Infoblox has only tested and validated upgrading from 9.0.3, 9.0.2, 8.6.4, 8.6.3, 8.6.2, 8.5.5, 8.5.2, and 8.4.8.

Also before upgrading to NIOS 9.0.4 I would review https://support.infoblox.com/s/article/Support-Alerts , to see if the two issues with upgrading to NIOS 9.0.4 apply.
