Zone transfer migration

Hi,

i want to migrate my all zone record from linux to my Infoblox DNS server (1415 machine),can any body guide me the steps and command that will be used.

Hi Shaukat,

I suggest using the data import wizard for this one.

The problem with zone transfers is that when you convert the zone on Infoblox from the secundary status towards the primary status all the records are removed.

The data import wizard can do the zone transfer for you and transform the data to be a primary zone on the Infoblox.

I think i didn't ask a clear question,My DNS server is running on the linux
and have my records on the linux server and i want to migrate to the
Infoblox.
what is the easy and best way to migrate my all records from the linux to
Infoblox server.
what command i need to run on the linux so that i can copy all my records
in .csv so that i can i can import it into the infoblox server

Hi,

Again, use the Data Import Wizard.

It will pull all the records from the Linux, convert them and either insert them directly in the Infoblox or create a .csv file to import later.
