You can direcly upgrade 8.3.8 and earlier release (includ 8.3.0) to 8.5.2

This information can be found on 8.5.2 release notes too

Hi, Upgrade for standalone is as below Step1) UPLOAD 1. In the Grid tab, select the Upgrade tab, and then click Upload in the panel or from the Toolbar 2.Navigate to the directory where you have stored the NIOS software upgrade, and then click Open or Upload Step 2) DISTRIBUTE 1.From the Grid tab, select the Upgrade tab, and then click Distribute -> Distribute Now from the Toolbar. 2.In the confirmation dialog box, click Yes to start the distribution Step 3)C. TEST UPGRADE 1.From the Grid tab, select the Upgrade tab, and then click Test Upgrade from the Toolbar. Step 4)UPGRADE 1.From the Grid tab, select the Upgrade tab, and then click Upgrade -> UpgradeNow from the Toolbar. HOWEVER We like to know about upgrading Forwarders HA Pair and Authoritative Grid Master ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1) When we upgrade DNS forwarders Active and Passive , after upgrade which box will be the active one ? any down time ? 2) When we upgrade DNS Authoritative server with secondary gridmaster , How can we schedule with no impact to services. Thanks

If you are in 8.6 you can likely use:

set maintenancemode

synctime

But you should probably turn in a support ticket

Thanks
