Hi
i am trying to deploy some Cisco access points and need to issue option 43 and 60 in DHCP so that the APs get directed to the correct wireless controller. The AP isn't registering on the controller so I'm guessing that these options are not being passed correctly.
Any one test this configuration before ?
Appreciate your help

I think this is covered in the following post
Which also links the following step by step guide: http://www.mikealbano.com/2014/06/dhcp-option-for-wlc-ip-using-infoblox.html

Hi
Actually we find the soultion for this issue, we were trying to add the MAC address of the Cisco WLC in option 43 using the following format aaaa.bbbb.cccc but when changing this format to aa.aa.bb.bb.cc.cc everything is working fine and the cisco AP can register with the cisco controller. we didnot need to add the configuation in the above link.
Thanks

Dear mmaklad ,
How the AP will learn controllers MAC address if they are connected in different switches.
Thanks
