We are looking to upgrade from NIOS 8.3.8 to 8.5.1. The release notes state that direct upgrade is possible from "8.3.7 and earlier 8.3.x releases" but I would assume 8.3.8 should also be able to do this. Can anyone confirm?
Thank you for your inquiry. Currently, there is no supported upgrade path from NIOS 8.3.8 to 8.5.1. While the Release Notes state that a direct upgrade is possible from "8.3.7 and earlier 8.3.x releases," 8.3.8 is not supported. However, the NIOS roadmap plans upgrade support for NIOS 8.3.8 to 8.5.2 to be launched later in the Fall. Please check with your Infoblox System Engineer for further information.
Assuming 8.5.2 is still not available, what is the best option for upgrading from 8.3.8 to 8.5.1? Is it possible to do a staged upgrade from 8.3.8 -> 8.4.x and then 8.4.x -> 8.5.1, or would a downgrade from 8.3.8 be required first?
