I've not heard anything back from support yet...
Thank you

1.) Does Infoblox have a way to support MTA cable modems via DHCP?
A DHCP server should support all DHCP clients and we do so using DORA in IPv4 and SARR in v6. A server's responsibility should just be to service client requests by offering and acknowledging IP addresses and keeping a knowledgebase of it. It can also provide configured DHCP options with or without a client's explicit request for them.
2) What is the Infoblox best practice in setting up MTA cable modems via DHCP?
It is more about reading the vendor doocumentation on MTA cable modems and configuring the modems requirement on the DHCP server side. Options such as tftp server name, ip-addr, filename and any required option-43 sub-options.
3.) How are you going about it?
Already answered.
