Hello There,

While that directly isn't possible(At least in 8.4.x that I'm testing with), you may utilize the "copy records" feature in NIOS. Consider the following example.

1) Assume you have 2 DNS views. Internal & External - both in "default" Network view.

2) Assume you have a zone infoblox.com within Internal DNS view. Consider this zone has over 1000+ RRs.

3) Now assume your intention is to have infoblox.com zone to be seen in External DNS view & no longer needs it in Internal DNS view.

4) If that's the case, you need to :

--> First of all you need to create a zone infoblox.com within the External DNS view as well(With no records in it).

--> Now go to Data Management -> DNS -> Zones -> Select "Internal" DNS view -> Just select the zone "infoblox.com".

--> Having "infoblox.com" zone selected, from the toolbar select "Copy Records".

--> Within the dialog box that'll pop up, use the option "Select zone" to select the infoblox.com zone within the "External" DNS view. Note that you do get a drop down to select the DNS view as soon as you hit "Select zone".

--> For "Copy" option, select "All records" -> Hit "Copy & Close".

Now all records from infoblox.com Internal has been copied to infoblox.com External view. Now you may just delete the infoblox.com zone within internal DNS view. Good luck,

Best regards,
