NETWORKING
Infoblox Universal DDI™ Management: DNS Record Classification Monitor and Local Logging from NIOS-X Servers, and DNS Resolution Time KPI
Now Available
DNS Record Classification Monitor: Universal DDI now provides real-time, centralized monitoring and insights across key DNS categories in AWS, Azure, GCP and on-premises environments. DNS Record Classification monitors multiple record types, including dangling, abandoned and untrusted DNS records to deliver the following benefits:
- Enhanced Security: Dangling DNS records are detected to prevent subdomain hijacking and abandoned or untrusted records are identified to reduce attack surfaces vulnerable to phishing, spoofing, and unauthorized access.
- Improved Efficiency: Streamlines DNS record handling to reduce errors and simplify troubleshooting.
- Lower Costs: Unused or lingering resources are identified and eliminated to reduce unnecessary expenses, allowing organizations to decommission obsolete DNS records and optimize cloud resource allocation.
Local Logging from NIOS-X Servers: This enhancement allows you to configure and send DNS query and response and DHCP lease logs to an SIEM for further analysis. By eliminating the need to send these logs through the Universal DDI cloud service, you can save on Reporting Tokens. It can be configured at the Global DHCP and DNS levels and fully supports new and existing deployments.
DNS Resolution Time KPI: Universal DDI now offers a new metric that represents the average time required to resolve DNS queries across your network. This KPI helps track DNS resolution performance across the network by indicating whether resolution times are increasing or decreasing.

Infoblox Universal DDI Management: New Monitors - DHCP Range Utilization, Subnet Utilization, and Overlapping IP Blocks
Coming Soon
Universal DDI will be releasing three new Network Workspace monitors, providing real-time visualization and insight in the following areas:
- DHCP Range Utilization: Helps admins avoid running out of IPs, which can lead to device connection failures and service disruptions, thereby enabling proactive management.
- Subnet Utilization: Optimize IP resource allocation, reduce costs, and prevent service disruptions by avoiding IP exhaustion. It enhances network efficiency, scalability, and security while enabling proactive capacity planning and compliance.
- Overlapping IP Blocks: Helps you with preventing connectivity issues, misrouted traffic, and security risks, ensuring seamless network operations across multi-cloud and hybrid environments.
